My Dream of English Exams As an international student, taking English exams has always been a major part of my academic life. No matter if it's exams for English proficiency or academic writing, I always feel anxious and stressed about them. However, I had a dream last night that made me see the light at the end of the tunnel. In my dream, I was sitting in a bright and cozy exam room, waiting for the exam to start. As the exam paper was handed out, I was surprised to see that it was in the form of a game board. Yes, a game board! The rules were simple - each question had a corresponding number on the game board, and I had to roll the dice and move my token to that number, then answer the question. It felt like I was playing a board game with friends instead of sitting in a nerve-wracking exam. As I played the exam game, I realized that the questions were not only testing my language skills, but also my critical thinking, creativity, and even humor. There were questions like "Make up a funny story using five of the following words," or "Write a persuasive paragraph on why you think aliens exist." I found myself enjoying the process of answering the questions, and even chuckled at my own writing. When the time was up, the game board turned into a scoreboard, and my result popped up on the screen. To my surprise, I had not only passed the exam, but also got a perfect score! I felt a wave of relief and happiness washing over me, and I woke up with a big smile on my face. Although it was just a dream, it inspired me to approach English exams with a more playful and positive attitude. Instead of seeing them as burdensome tasks, I can treat them as opportunities to sharpen my linguistic and cognitive abilities. Who knows? Maybe one day, my dream of an "exam game" will come true.
