I had a dream last night that I was taking an English exam. It was quite vivid and felt very real, even though I haven't taken an English exam in years. In the dream, I was sitting at a desk with a blank piece of paper in front of me. The room was quiet and tense, with the sounds of pencils scratching and pages turning. As soon as the exam started, I felt a wave of panic wash over me. I had completely forgotten everything I had ever learned about grammar and vocabulary. The questions on the page looked like a foreign language - I couldn't even recognize the parts of speech! I tried to calm myself down and focus on the questions, but nothing seemed to make sense. Each time I read a sentence, my brain scrambled the words in my head, leaving me confused and disoriented. I had never felt more helpless or frustrated. As the time ticked by, I watched in horror as other students around me seemed to breeze through the test with ease, answering questions and completing essays without hesitation. I wanted to cry - how could I be so unprepared? Eventually, the test ended and I handed in my paper with a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. I knew that I had failed miserably and that I would have to retake the exam. But strangely, when I woke up, I didn't feel too disappointed. I realized that the dream was just a reminder that I should never take my English skills for granted - and that I need to keep learning and practicing every day. From now on, I'll make sure to stay sharp and prepared so that when the next English exam comes around, I'll be ready.
