I had a dream last night that I saw my junior high school English teacher. It has been many years since I have seen her, but she looked just as I remembered her. Her hair was short and neat, and she wore small glasses over her kind eyes. In my dream, she was sitting at her desk, grading papers. I approached her and we began to chat. I was surprised at how much I remembered from her class, even though it had been so long. She asked me about my life and what I had been up to since graduation. I told her about my job and my hobbies. As we talked, I realized how much she had impacted my life. Her passion for teaching English had inspired me to become an avid reader and writer. I remembered how she would always encourage us to embrace new words and phrases in our writing. She made grammar fun and challenged us to become better students. I woke up feeling grateful for my English teacher. Even in my dream, she had reminded me of the importance of education and the role that good teachers play in our lives. I hope that one day I can have the same impact on someone else's life as she did on mine. Although it has been years since I have seen her, my dream reminded me that the lessons she taught me are still with me today. I am grateful for her and all the other teachers who have helped shape who I am today.
