Dreaming in English
Have you ever had a dream where you found yourself speaking fluent English, even though it was not your first language? I know I have, and it's always a surreal experience.
In my dreams, it feels like I have been transported to an English-speaking country where I am able to communicate with ease. Words flow effortlessly from my mouth, sentences are constructed perfectly, and my grammar is spot on. It's as if I have been magically gifted with the ability to speak English flawlessly.
The characters in my dreams seem to be amazed at my sudden proficiency in English, and I can't help but feel proud of myself. I feel like a master linguist, seamlessly switching between languages.
But when I wake up, my newfound linguistic abilities disappear like a puff of smoke. I'm back to stumbling over words and struggling to make myself understood in English. It's a harsh reality check, but it also motivates me to keep working on my language skills.
I know that achieving fluency in English will take time and effort, but these dreams remind me that it's all worth it. The ability to communicate in English will open doors for me professionally, culturally and personally.
So next time I have a dream where I am speaking fluent English, I will relish in the moment and use it as inspiration to keep pushing forward in my language learning journey.
